Snowmobile Carburetor & EFI Tuning

Whether your Ski-Doo runs carburetors or fuel injection, correct fueling is what separates a sled that starts instantly and pulls hard from one that bogs, floods, or fouls plugs. Carburetor and EFI tuning accounts for the fact that snowmobiles run across a much wider temperature and elevation range in a single season than almost any other powersport vehicle.

What's Included

• Carbureted models: float level check, jet inspection and cleaning, accelerator pump service, idle/off-idle mixture adjustment
• EFI models: fault code scan, fuel trim review, injector cleaning if indicated
• Spark plug reading to confirm mixture (colour and condition assessed)
• Cold-start choke/enrichener function check
• Jetting adjustment for elevation or temperature range if riding conditions have changed

Ethanol Fuel and Winter Storage

Sleds are especially vulnerable to ethanol-related varnish and corrosion because they typically sit unused for six-plus months every year. Carburetor float needles, jets, and EFI injectors all suffer from stale fuel left in the system over summer. Using a fuel stabilizer at spring shutdown and running the engine briefly to circulate it through the fuel system prevents the majority of fall starting problems we diagnose every year.
