Post-Season Storage & Summerization

How a snowmobile is put away in spring determines how easily it starts the following fall. Summerization prevents the most common off-season damage: stale fuel gumming up carburetors or injectors, cylinder wall corrosion from moisture, a dead battery, and a track that's developed a flat spot from sitting under tension all summer.

What's Included

• Fuel stabilizer added and circulated through the entire fuel system
• Engine fogging oil applied through the intake to coat cylinder walls and rings
• Battery removed or connected to a maintainer for the off-season
• Track tension released to prevent flat-spotting and suspension strain
• Sled elevated off the track where possible to prevent track and suspension load
• Drive belt removed or tension released (clutch-specific)
• Coolant level and condition check (liquid-cooled models)
• Exterior clean and light corrosion-inhibitor application on exposed metal

What Happens Without Proper Storage Prep

Ethanol fuel left in a carburetor or fuel system over six-plus months of summer storage is the single biggest cause of fall no-start complaints. It gums up jets, needle seats, and injectors, sometimes requiring a full carb rebuild that proper stabilization would have prevented entirely for a fraction of the cost.
