Full Engine Rebuild

A full Harley-Davidson engine rebuild is the definitive solution when an engine's internal components — crankshaft, bearings, cams, and pistons — are all worn beyond serviceable limits. Rather than addressing one system at a time, a complete rebuild brings every component within specification simultaneously, delivering a mechanically new engine in your original cases. For high-mileage bikes or engines with serious mechanical failures, this is the most cost-effective long-term approach.

What's Included

• Complete engine removal from the frame
• Full disassembly to bare cases
• Crankshaft inspection, truing, and rebuilding (new flywheels or new rods if required)
• Case boring and bearing replacement
• Cam, cam chest, and cam chain system (new tensioners or gear drive)
• Complete top end — pistons, rings, cylinder boring, head work, valve train
• All seals, gaskets, and o-rings replaced throughout

When Is a Full Rebuild the Right Call?

A full rebuild makes sense when: the bottom end has bearing knock or crankshaft play; the engine has suffered a catastrophic failure (cam chain let go, connecting rod damage); compression is low in multiple cylinders; the bike has very high mileage (200,000+ km) with unknown service history; or you want the confidence of a fully refreshed engine rather than addressing issues piecemeal.
