Fork Seal Replacement

Leaking fork seals are immediately obvious — oil streaking down the fork leg, coating the brake rotor, and pooling inside the dust seal. Beyond the mess, leaking forks have inconsistent damping as oil level drops, and contaminated brake rotors are a genuine safety hazard. Fork seal replacement is a definitive fix that restores both appearance and handling.

What's Included

• Wheel and fender removal for fork access
• Fork legs removed from triple tree
• Fork legs disassembled — lower and upper separated
• Old seals and dust seals removed
• Fork slider interior cleaned of old oil and debris
• New seals seated with correct seal driver (never hammered in)
• New dust seals installed
• Fresh fork oil to correct volume and air gap
• Reassembly and reinstallation

Bushings

With the fork legs disassembled for seals, we always inspect the inner and outer bushings for wear. Worn bushings allow the fork legs to flex sideways, reducing steering precision. Replacing bushings while the forks are apart adds minimal cost to an already disassembled system — this is the right time to do it if they're needed.
