Factory Harley suspension is set up for a mid-range rider weight riding solo. If you're significantly heavier or lighter, ride two-up frequently, or carry luggage, the factory preload settings are wrong for you — and wrong preload means the suspension can't travel properly, resulting in bottoming out over bumps or skipping over road irregularities. A suspension setup consultation gets your sag dialed in for your specific weight and riding conditions.

What's Included

  • Sag measurement front and rear with rider in full gear on the bike
  • Preload adjustments to achieve target sag (25–35mm front, 25–30mm rear)
  • Identification of any suspension limitations that require hardware upgrades
  • Tire pressure check (affects suspension feel significantly)
  • Discussion of riding style and load requirements

Why Sag Matters

Sag is how much the suspension compresses under the bike and rider's weight. Too much sag (too little preload) and the suspension bottoms out. Too little sag (too much preload) and the suspension can't extend to follow dips in the road. Correct sag ensures the suspension works through its full travel in both directions — using all the travel available to absorb bumps and maintain contact with the pavement through Nova Scotia's variable road surfaces.
