Book This Service(902) 755-6532Regular oil changes matter just as much on a Can-Am Outlander or Maverick as they do on a Harley — arguably more, since ATVs and UTVs work through mud, water crossings, and dusty trails that put extra strain on engine oil. Whether you're running a Rotax V-twin in a Can-Am, a ProStar in a Polaris, or another platform entirely, we keep your machine's engine, gearcase, and front differential fluids on schedule.
What's Included
- Engine oil drain and filter replacement with manufacturer-spec synthetic oil
- Front and rear differential/gearcase fluid check (top-up or full change as needed)
- CVT/drive belt housing inspected for water intrusion and debris
- Air filter inspection — critical on machines ridden in dusty or muddy conditions
- Visual inspection of CV boots, skid plates, and drive belt for early wear signs
Why ATV/UTV Oil Service Differs From Bikes
Rotax and other ATV/UTV engines often share oil between the engine and a wet clutch or gearbox, similar to a motorcycle Sportster, and see far more dirt and water contamination than a road bike ever will. Machines used for plowing, hauling, or hard trail riding should be serviced more often than the manufacturer's base interval — we'll tell you honestly what your specific use case calls for.
Service Interval
Every 100 hours or annually for most Can-Am and Polaris models, whichever comes first — sooner for machines used hard in mud, sand, or water. Nova Scotia's wet spring and fall conditions push contamination into oil faster than dry-climate riding, so we recommend not stretching intervals past the manufacturer spec.
